Design Travel explores the interplay between design and travel. It might be a new hotel for business travellers, an airline collaborating with a world-renowned architect or a product designed specifically to enhance the travel experience. Our brief is to make you want to be there and inspire you to seek out incredible design examples when you travel, or in your own city. 

Stephanie Williams, is an interior designer,  writer and travel communicator. Stephanie was the first editor of Qantas epiQure and her work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, television and online.  She also has a love of fashion design, borne while working for Comme des Garcons.

One of our favourite recent openings is The Ned in the City area of London, from the people behind the super successful Soho House group of hotels and venues. This little video cheekily showcases the beautiful 100 year old building through the eye of their new bellboy, Ned. He looks more like a model than a bell boy to us, but you get the idea! The hotel was previously the Midland Bank building and lay in wait for eight years, ripe for a repurpose. Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House & Co, first saw the building in 2012, he fell in love and embarked on a partnership with Andrew Zobler, the CEO of New York's Sydell Group, to see the project come to life.
